Valor Center Overview
“To prepare a place of God’s increasing presence in His saints to encourage them into a supernatural kingdom lifestyle” John 14:12
1) A supernatural lifestyle of VALOR or boldness. (Acts 4:31)
We hear a lot about boldness in Acts. It is similar and synonymous with another term we see: VALOR!
It means: “great courage in the face of danger, especially in battle.” “strength of mind or spirit that enables a person to encounter danger with firmness, personal bravery; courage, prowess; intrepidity”
In Judges 6:12 we see Gideon recognized by this same term: “The Lord is with you, mighty man of valor!” Other synonyms are: bravery, courage, nerve, daring, fearlessness, audacity, boldness, heroism, backbone, spirit;
This boldness or VALOR is what is missing in the politically correct and striving-to-be-relevant expression of church today!
2) Attempting to walk in all the FRUIT & GIFTS of the Spirit (Gal 5,1 Corinthians 12-14) We can walk in both supernatural gifts and integrity of character out of a yielded life. God has called us to be His sons and daughters. That means we are to look, act and represent our FATHER well!
3) An awestruck lifestyle of simplicity & child likeness reflecting a FEAR of God (Mt 18:8)
4) FAITH to think the unthinkable, believe the unbelievable and do the impossible! (Ephesians 3:20-Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever.
5) POWER to BE His disciples. (Acts 1:8, 1 Cor 2:4&5)
Matthew 22:29 (NIV) Jesus said, “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.” I would go as so far as to say we cannot truly know Him unless we have experienced His power. It takes spiritual wisdom to know spiritual things. We can know God intellectually but the error is in “knowing Him from afar”.Discipleship isn’t meant to model a form of godliness without the power of God. DISCIPLESHIP should reproduce in us what the POWER of GOD has accomplished in us, not just what was intellectually learned. 1 Corinthians 1:18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved (SOZO) it is the power of God! SOZO means a complete redemption & transformation.
